It’s January 2024 and we are 7 days into the new year. So I am introducing you to a new segment . 3 poems by 3 poets. For the first 6 months of the year, I will be recommending 3 poems by 3 different poets to read. By mid 2024 you will hopefully have discovered ( or at least reminded of) 18 poems by the same amount of poets. The poets introduced will range from well known poems/poets to lesser known or potentially completely unknown ones. All the poems will be accessible online using various free poetry platforms.
As I own none of the copyright to any of the poems, I will be adding the link to access the poem but not the actual poem.

A Martian Sends a Postcard Home– Craig Raine
Craig Raine is a key figure in the movement of Martian Poetry, while Denise Leverton was a member of the Black Mountain poets. Kim Addonizio, if I’m honest I had never heard of her. Since I wanted to add a poem about the new year, I did a bit of research and found this beauty. So by doing this new segment even I have discovered someone new.
