First Poem in Print ! Plus a Note on Rejection

I am very excited to announce that I will be having my first poem published in print in the magazine ” The Poetry Cove”. This piece was rejected by other magazines, yet I believed in this poem. I believe it’s not only one of my favourites I’ve written thus far but one of my most personal and honest.

I read the other day in Writing Magazine, a note on dealing with rejection and in summary it said; rejection is a matter of opinion. Rejection is not a statement of the quality of your work, it’s a matter of the editors taste and the magazines vision. What may not fit into one magazine may fit into another. Just like music, food, clothing and everything else in life; we all have our own taste. So fourth time lucky my poem “Magnolia” is finally going to see the light of day. I hope you will see this as encouragement for your own writing. Keep pushing yourself, be proud of your work but most of all have faith in it!
