3 Poems by 3 Poets: April 2024

This month’s selection is based on the rising tensions going on in the world right now. It doesn’t matter what religion you do or don’t follow or what ethnicity you are; right now more than ever the world needs peace. The unjustified suffering needs to end so that the slow healing and recovery process can begin. I pray one day we can live in a world where everyone has a mutual respect for each other’s culture, religion and live in peaceful harmony. So this months poems choices are based on two festivals that are are celebrated in April: Eid al-Fitr ( festival celebrating the end of Ramadan for Muslims), Passover ( Jewish holiday that celebrates the enslaved Israelite’s release from Egypt ) and a poem for peace.
